Much potential, not yet realised

very nice... a combination of those ganguro girl style rpgs and the sims... but how will the quality of your house affect your character? maybe you need more stats which can be affected by it, but this is gonna be quite a project for you. and maybe you could have stuff in your house that lets you train stats at a far lesser cost of energy (but more money as you buy it initially). maybe a car opens up new jobs with more money, and, more importantly, wages dependant on your stats. i hope you can buy bigger houses as time goes on.

stick with the real time thing as well... people should leave school in the evening, but other places should come to life then...

good luck, looks like it's gonna be great, this is the most exciting alpha i've seen, but i hope you'll stick with it, take account of suggestions etc - this game will be very hard to balance out.

Brilliant but somewhat limited

A very good game, with brilliant physics and more potential for skill and tactics than it first appears. It is also very well programmed, with the physics as well as the autosaving, mp3s and more. It was well drawn (although the photo backgrounds dont really feel right), had some good game modes and the interface was nicely thought out.

There are a couple of problems, for example, when you've got the money to get your character how you want him you can't do much else, apart from maybe set personal records on the play modes (i'm thinking maybe you could have some more accessories on each character? or stats to develop? i've got a few more ideas, but i won't put em all here.) also there's a really easy way to get your rank up that you might want to fix, but i dunno if it'll be too much of a spoiler to put here. also, how about league mode, perhaps to unlock something or for a big money reward?

Nice concept

Very nice, original concept (i got high score!), although there should be some kind of diversity... i'm not sure how though. more levels would be boring, but maybe more steady-hand games like this in one package could be good. there should also be a level progress meter - i very nearly quit just before the end. But for such a simple idea, it's almost perfectly executed as it is.

challenging.... in a good way

it's quite a boring concept... one could easily get bored, but the levels are well designed (although very unforgiving, adding to the boredom). you should bring the difficulty level down a bit, judging by the levels everyone's getting to in the reviews. but overall, it really does make you think, plus the interface is quite nice. (i got stuck on level 9)

LMAO

this game is hilarious, and based on such a simple yet incredibly original idea. great work!

(did anyone notice the.. er.. "grammar error" with the brackets in the bottom right of the background? rofl!)

Monkey Island, Sam n Max - brings back memories

Like I said in my summary - but of the adventure games i've seen on NG, you've got it spot on, exactly like the old Lucasarts point and click games - very quirky and very clever.

The only thing you're missing slightly is the brilliant dry humour of the main characters (yours doesn't have much of a personality at all) - and maybe you could develop those cut scenes when he does stuff, some were really hilarious in the Lucasarts games (hope people know what i'm talking about - Monkey Island series is by Lucasarts). But, er... gotta be careful not to make em too abstract, or you'll never have a clue what to do.

Well made but dull

This is very well produced, nice graphics, a variety of enemies and a retro feel almost make it play well, but i felt it was dull and easy. New weapons, enemies and challenges needed, in my opinion... otherwise, good.

nice reproduction - but unoriginal game

It was an impressive reproduction of Starcraft - sounds and all, but the game was nothing original at all.. point and click shooter. great.

wow.

This game was amazing, one of the best i've ever seen in flash.. only thing that was lacking really was a crosshair, as mentioned before. And lost points on violence for no blood or hit areas (blowing off limbs and stuff... i don't know if that's possible tho.)

Great game, could be longer...

This was a really good game, with good graphics to boot, the only real problem is the length of it, and how easy it was (with time). Other than that... good.

The Dude abides.
