mondo original

great style.. rather too easy for a game, but that's not the point, eh? wouldn't want this game to be frustrating. nice animations, and very different to other stuff around here. i reckon you should take this style a bit further - should start bouncing off the moon for level 2 at least.. maybe..

Simple but brilliantly executed

This is one of the best presented and programmed games i've ever seen in flash. It's very simple (too simple, really... but you don't wanna overcomplicate things) and some of the weapons were a little unimaginative. but the rest were very imaginative, like the gravity control, and i don't think i've ever seen in-game reprogramming like that. this game rocks. just keep on adding modes and weapons.

Good, but still much room for improvement

It's far too easy, as people have said, with just a load of archers (or perhaps with a load of infantry.. i find you only need to spend half your cash on them to beat a level, as they are so cheap). I think much more variety in the enemy's defence is needed, as the arrows and pitch get very boring after a while - how about a moat, which must be slowly filled in? and perhaps burning pitch ditches? (but that may require giving units individual health points, or perhaps a random chance to kill them) and some defensive heavy weapons? Enemy units will sort out the archers problem, while they can have little fights with any of your hand to hand units. you should also vary the armour your units possess, from 1 hit for infantry and archers to several for cavalry and rams. oh, and a small thing, stop the quality resetting after each level.

Other than all that, it's a great game, and a nice change from defend your castle (if one was needed :) ). Just needs a little time spent reading all these reviews, and taking up the suggestions.

Very ambitious, but not entirely successful

This game has loads of ambition, but is often rather poorly executed. Graphics are a decent recreation, but very plain with no background. There are many other limitations on the original in terms of gameplay. but all in all, the ambition balances it all out... it's a pretty big project, i can't expect it to be perfect at all.

A little too simple

Really nice physics, nice style of animation, but the game's a little limited and repetitive. I'm not sure i can offer any advice on how to liven it up... it's a pretty simple concept all over. Good start, move on, i guess..

It just keeps getting better...

These defend your castle inspired games just keep getting better, each one adds something and is fun to play, but there is still a long way to go for the perfect one. This one definitely improves on what has been done before (there's a lot of ways to expand your base, the enourmous fleets are brilliant) but it's very glitchy, music is repetitive, there's no save function for your glorious army, and gameplay becomes repetitive (but that's the genre's fault, not yours). And of course, you can always increase the number of upgrades..

They don't make em like they used to.....

I loved the old point and click adventures, but it's a real pain finding them these days, i've finished almost all of the lucasarts ones and a few others..... this game is all slightly before my time, but still, only slightly.. i'm old enough to get most of it, and it's pretty damn funny, fairly challenging and generally well produced.

Excellent! Glad you played it!

Wooyeah! Finished it!

Yep... i got all the way through... sometimes by luck, mostly by skill. But it's a good, brilliantly simple puzzler, and you find yourself wanting to finish the level, even when you're completely stumped.

Good

Very nice... good questions, good difficulty curve and well constructed interface that really looks like the show. A bug that you probably know about: you can use the lifelines as many times as you want...

Not challenging enough

Well, by that i don't mean it wasn't hard, it was just so obscure sometimes.... why not make one which involves clever searching of every aspect of the site, such as NG Lit... there were some here where you could do that, such as where you could find staff profiles or the charts, but there should be more of that. stuff that everyone can do. Any others should be based on essential NG history i reckon, stuff like "how many people have they been sued by?" rather than "who is the official drunk"

The Dude abides.
